Family and friends… 350 of them! Last Friday Trisha and Kris said “I DO” during a beautiful Catholic mass filled with joy and loved ones!
The day started at Trisha’s parent’s house in Thornton, PA where, together with eleven of her closest friends, the bride got dressed. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by so many beautiful ladies who were smiling big while having their hair and makeup done by the sound of the beat. That’s right, the music was playing loudly and they were all enjoying and celebrating their friend from the beginning of the day until the end of the night!
The music continued playing as the girls jumped into the wedding bus and traveled to Center City Philadelphia.
I arrived at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Philly and was then greeted by the guys… Kris and his eleven friends were standing by the door ushering guests to their seats. Then, Trisha entered the church… arm to arm with her dad, wearing an elegant white gown with a veil covering her face. So many beautiful and traditional elements were incorporated into their day.
The mass was presided by Father Dave O’Brien, Trisha’s high school friend who had just become a priest 3 weeks prior. By his side was Bishop Maginnis, Trisha’s uncle and a retired Bishop of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Trisha and Kris (and all their 350 friends and family members) danced the night away at Ballroom at The Ben by the music of Ebe Rio band. OMG, what a gorgeous and fun reception! The dance floor was never empty, the celebration was continuous and the energy was always high!!! When Trisha first inquired with me her email said: “my criteria for a good weeding is 1. good food, 2. good music to dance to”. I really think it’s safe to say her criteria was met last Friday!!!
Mr. & Mrs. Dowgiewicz, I’m short on words trying to express my gratitude for being able to register such a beautiful and special day in your lives. You two are one of the most caring, kind and calm couples I’ve ever met. You guys are loved by so many, and now you have one more person added to that large list! I hope your wedding day was everything you’ve always dreamed of and more!
Below are a few of my favorite images from this elegant black tie wedding in Center City Philadelphia. Enjoy!
