Have you heard of the Crystal Tea Room? It’s a wedding venue in Philadelphia, just steps away from city hall. Its full of elegance and all of the historic charm that the city of Philadelphia has to offer. Here, in this opulent setting, Taylor and Erich had their dream wedding day!
The bride and groom met each other all the way back in high school. At their prom to be exact! But, believe it or not, they were actually not each other’s date that night! However, they managed to forge a close connection on that fateful night. Their connection turned into a long-term friendship, which eventually lead Erich to propose to Taylor in Napa Valley at Castello di Amorosa! And, before you know it, they were planning their Crystal Tea Room Wedding in Philadelphia!
On her wedding day, Taylor got ready at her Mother’s house. There, she slipped into her gorgeous ball gown style wedding dress, which had a special memory sewn inside. Taylor’s Dad passed away some time ago. To honor his memory on her wedding day, she had his police badge stitched inside her gown. It was a very emotional moment to witness for everyone present in the room, myself included! But I thought it was such a touching way to honor her Dad’s memory and presence on her wedding day. My beautiful bride also placed a photo of her Dad on her bouquet, to carry by her side for the day.

From there, we were off to the church! Taylor and Erich were wed in a beautiful Catholic mass at Taylor’s childhood parish! The priest presiding over their wedding, Father Bernard Taglianetti, has known the bride since she was a child. Isn’t that such an amazing way to begin your marriage? I thought it was such a personal touch and a wonderful blessing to Taylor & Erich on their wedding day!
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, it was portrait time! Which, of course, as a Philadelphia wedding photographer, was my favorite part of their day! The bride and groom choose Tyler Gardens and Center City Philadelphia for their wedding day portraits location, which we captured before their reception. Tyler Gardens is a beautifully curated, symmetrical garden with an iconic double stairway, completely made of stone! Wait until you see the photos we captured there when you scroll through the blog below, so gorgeous! Then, we walked through the iconic streets of Center City Philadelphia, and I snapped every moment of my bride and groom walking among Philadelphia’s history.
Lastly, it was time to party the night away at their reception! Taylor and Erich kicked off their Crystal Tea Room Wedding by dancing to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. I thought it was such a beautiful touch to their love story as the lyric “we are still kids, but we’re so in love…” played!
