How do I even start? A few months ago I received an email from Mary Elizabeth’s mom, Lori, about scheduling a high school senior portrait session for her daughter. Every year I like to give back by donating a session to Lancaster Catholic High School to support the school most of my husband’s family graduated from. During the last fundraiser, Lori had the highest bid on the silent auction and was ready to use the session for Mary Elizabeth.
I am soooo glad she did! I usually don’t do many senior sessions, but I am starting to rethink it after this session! hehe. After a few times trying to schedule this shoot, the day finally came. It was just a few days after the crazy November snowfall, so we were not sure how the session would turnout. It was cold, the snow was still on the ground all over Lancaster City, but the sun was shinning and the light was great!
We met at the Steinman Park, near the Pressroom Restaurant. I arrived to meet Mary Elizabeth all cute, dressed to impress. She did her own hair and makeup but I could swear she got it professionally done. We went around Downtown Lancaster and stopped by Fulton Theatre, Central Market and finished up at a parking garage where we could see the city and its gorgeous sunset. When I thought nothing could be better then that glowy sunset and we were just about to wrap up, Mary’s dad called and told her she was accepted into one of the colleges she applied to!!! WOOHOO!
Mary Elizabeth and Lori, thank you so much for trusting me to register this special milestone in your lives. It was wonderful to get to know you and spend an afternoon together. Mary, I am so excited for you! I wish you the best senior year ever and I hope all your dreams come true! And I also hope you like your images as much as I do!
Here are a few of my favorites!
