Kelly & Nick’s wedding at The Waterfall in Claymont, Delaware was classic and timeless!

The timeline of Kelly & Nick’s undeniable love is so beautiful! Wait until I give you all the details! Kelly and Nick met at a friend’s Christmas party on December 25th in 2017. Their first official date was 4 days later on December 29th. Nick took Kelly out to a romantic dinner at a restaurant called Brandywine Prime located in Chadds Ford, PA.

It wasn’t until two years later that Nick would then propose to Kelly on December 12th, 2019. He took her to the Pineapple fountain in Charleston, South Carolina. They were surrounded by their friends and family when he popped the question! Christmas is always such a magical time of year, it’s so amazing how Kelly & Nick’s love story developed over the holidays!

Kelly and Nick are both family-oriented people and they both work for each of their family’s businesses. One of the questions I often ask my couples when they decide to work with me is what they are most looking forward to on their wedding day. The response that I received from Kelly & Nick was “celebrating with our family and friends”. There was also a side note in there written by Kelly where she said ‘My dad wanted me to write dancing with him’! So of course, I included a photo of their father-daughter dance in the gallery below! In addition to quality family time, Kelly and Nick also love to work out, get take out, and relax at home with their favorite shows.

Kelly described herself as a no-frills easy-going bride. I knew this about her when we first worked together on their engagement session at Race Street Pier in Philadelphia. I had such a wonderful time with them that I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to arrive.

When wedding day arrived at The Waterfall in Claymont, DE I knew it was going to be classic and timeless! Kelly and Nick chose The Waterfall to host their wedding there because the size of the venue was perfect for accommodating their guest list. Additionally, they loved that the space had silver accents which tied into their color palette.

All of the florals for their fall wedding were pure white. The groomsmen were decked out in black tuxes and the bridesmaids wore long gowns in a shade of slate blue. Their reception space was accented by silver chairs, frosted table numbers, and romantic floating candles. Kelly looked stunning in a lace bodice bridal gown with her hair swept back in a low twisted bun. And Nick was dapper in his black tux, bowtie, and single flower boutonniere!
