This elegant Wyndridge Farm Wedding merged a modern-day love story with a beautifully symbolic traditional Asian tea ceremony, and I cannot wait to share it with you!
I have to admit, this was my first time shooting a tea ceremony, and I absolutely fell in love with it! An Asian tea ceremony is typically performed on the day of the wedding and it’s a way for the newlyweds to show respect to the elders in their family. In return, the elders of the family provide the couple with their acceptance of the union. The ceremony is meant to represent the union and merging of two families, with the couple dressed in traditional cultural wedding garments.
For Uyen & Nate, their tea ceremony was more private than their western ceremony, with only their immediate family in attendance. Uyen looked like an absolute goddess dressed in her áo dà i with her bridal party by her side in elegant cream-colored gowns. Wait until you see the photos!

Once their tea ceremony was complete, Uyen & Nate changed into their western outfits for a walk down the aisle. Their western ceremony was a continuation of gorgeous creamy shades, mixed with dusty blue accents. It was classic meets elegant, with a touch of fun!
Honestly, Uyen & Nate’s entire wedding day was fun! The bride and groom had an absolute blast with their bridal party during the various events throughout the day. But, when it came time to party with their guests, I knew without a doubt that my beautiful bride and groom were truly having their best day ever!
Their Wyndridge Farm Wedding reception was decked out with twinkling lights, lush florals, cold fireworks on the dance floor, and, later, bubbles! With a packed dance floor, it was easy to see that they did not hold back in the fun department. Scroll through the photos below to see every moment of Uyen & Nate’s best day ever!
