Lydia & Mike’s Cork Factory Hotel Wedding in Lancaster, PA served up fall decor and amazing food!
Lydia and Mike both attended St. Joseph’s University, but their paths didn’t cross until their junior year! They would each take the train into Philly for their internships, and that’s when their fated connection was made.
Their first official date was actually a surprise! Mike surprised Lydia by picking up dinner after a long day. She explained to him that she was busy and wouldn’t have time to eat and he replied with “I’ll get diner for us!” Lydia was hesitant and didn’t actually believe him because they weren’t yet dating but Mike showed up with Shake Shack takeout and that’s when it all began!
Mike’s proposal to Lydia was also a surprise! The couple was hiking in Tuscon, Arizona. When they hit the peak of the mountain they were hiking (at sunrise!), Mike popped the question. In utter shock, the first word out of Lydia’s mouth was ‘no’ even though she really meant yes!

Our paths crossed when they began planning their wedding and they reached out to me! I first met Lydia & Mike during their engagement photo shoot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We spent the afternoon together and I got to see how they interacted with each other and hear their stories from when they lived in the city. I could not wait to see them again, on their wedding day, at Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA!
Lydia & Mike’s wedding day was just as joyful as their engagement session! My bride and groom began the day by getting ready in their suites at the Cork Factory Hotel. My sweet couple decided to exchange pre-ceremony gifts. The gifts were carefully set up in Lydia’s bridal suite.
They chose to host their wedding at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA because they fell in love with the venue’s industrial design and amazing food. To go along with Cork Factory’s warm interior and draw on the fall season, they used a color palette of orange, blue, pinks, and reds. They accented this palette with a mix of gold and silver metallics! Their wedding day was classic & traditional with so many heartfelt touches. Lydia walked down the aisle with her Dad & Step-Dad, and their ceremony was officiated by Mike’s sister. My bride and groom were both most looking forward to reciting their meaningful, handwritten vows to each other during their ceremony. Lydia & Mike’s love for each other is truly unique. My wish for them is that their marriage is as warm & joyful as their wedding day!
