Last Sunday, April 28th 2019, is a day that I will not soon forget. That was the day I, together with my friend Ashley from RSVP Love, hosted our very first workshop: Beauty In The Details!!!
We dreamed about this day for a long time, actually even before we met. Ashley and I are so similar that sometimes it’s hard to believe it! So needless to say we became very good friends after meeting in the wedding industry at the beginning of last year.
I remember sharing with her about my desire to one day get into education and help other creatives to achieve their dreams and grow their business. Immediately she said: “ME TOO”. We kept talking about this dream of ours for awhile and one day, with a little more than 30 days to plan all the details, we jumped all in and said “Let’s do it!”
And that was the start of this beautiful process… We envisioned a day where creatives could learn from both the designer and photographer point of view. We saw the need to talk about the pre-portrait time on a wedding day, you know, that portion of the timeline allocated to shoot all those pretty details couples have on their special day. That’s how Beauty In The Details was born, out of love for what we do, our desire to better serve couples on their wedding day and our heart to help others to succeed.
We literally jumped for joy every time we received an email saying “one ticket was just purchased.” It was a confirmation that our dream was coming true…
The day finally arrived and I couldn’t have prayed and asked for a better group of creatives to be there for our 1st workshop. We started with time to socialize and to get to know one another. Marla, a floral designer from The Sunflower Lady, gave us a demo on how to pin boutonnières, because you know, every photographer has been asked to pin one before! Hehe
Then, in an atmosphere of sharing, just like friends hanging out, we shared our tips before opening the doors to the studio, where all those beautiful details were ready to be styled and photographed!
