Malisa and Tom’s wedding at Cameron Estate Inn last Saturday is one for the books! It was my first wedding of the 2019 season, the weather was perfect, the decor was beautiful and their bridal party, family and guests were as joyful as they were!
Malisa and Tom met while in college, during Spanish class. They became good friends but lost touch after graduation. It wasn’t until 2 years later that they reconnected while Tom was in town for the holidays and their friendship grew into something else. Tom was living in New Orleans and they started a long distance relationship while he was training to become a swim rescuer. After his graduation in 2016 Malisa then joined him down south!
One year after that, on a beautiful sunny day under one of the oldest trees in New Orleans, Tom asked Malisa the question that changed everything: ‘Will you marry me?’ And of course she said yes!!!
Last Saturday they said I DO in front of their family and friends. Tom’s vows included some words in Spanish, reminding us all how they met! It was super sweet!
The weather couldn’t be more perfect. The sun was shining, the trees were green and it wasn’t too hot. It was just perfect. Their wedding party were dressed so elegantly in shades of blue and their joy and enthusiasm throughout the entire day was so contagious!
After the newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception hall, Tom’s mother and Malisa’s father made us laugh and cry! Tom’s mom recited a funny and interactive poem she wrote to the now Mr. & Mrs., and Malisa’s dad walked us through his “baby girl’s story” through his now lens. It was super touching!
And when it was time to get up and dance, their guests did not disappoint. The dance floor was full of guests of all ages, dancing and celebrating the bride and groom!!! It was super fun!!!
Mr. and Mrs. Everett, to say I am honored to have captured your love doesn’t quite describe how I feel. Thank you for choosing me to register your special day. I’m so glad I got to meet your friends and family and was able to witness the love you share. Thank you and congratulations!!!
Below are a few of my favorite images from this elegant, blue and white spring wedding in Lancaster County. Hope you enjoy!!!
