Located in the French Riviera, Château Saint Georges is a wedding venue evoking the elegance & sophistication known in the region.
Home to over seven sprawling acres on the hilltops of Grasse, Château Saint Georges is also referred to as “Le Petit Versaille”. As you might imagine, the hilltop views from this premiere French chateau are positively breathtaking. The chateau provides a gorgeous landscape well suited to any couple who wishes to plan an alfresco wedding ceremony & reception. Though the feeling of the chateau is palatial, I have to admit shooing this wedding editorial on the grounds was a breath of fresh air. There is something so effortless about French sophistication, but seeing the way it comes together for a wedding enveloped a sense of romance that is unrivaled.
The chateau gazebo was the epicenter of this wedding editorial. Here, a floral installation was created to draw on the chateau’s timeless sophistication. However beautiful the grounds of the chateau appear, the interior rivals it in every way. It’s an overwhelming feeling to walk through the halls of the grand salon and know that Queen Victoria herself once stayed at the chateau. I imagine she admired the hand-painted gold-trimmed artwork, still hanging in the chateau today.
This 19th-century chateau is located just minutes away from the world’s most renowned perfumeries. In fact, the chateau’s construction was ordered by famous Grasse perfumer Leon Chiris, who named the chateau after his son, George!
Enchanting in every way, the chateau’s exclusive setting is available to plan the wedding day of your dreams. However, if you are planning a destination wedding to the French Riviera from the US, it can prove tricky. I always recommend working with an experienced wedding planner who can make the process effortless while creating the seamless wedding day of your dreams.
