May of 2020… This blog post was supposed to go live in May, when Steph and Chris first planned to say yes. However, this post is not about how the world pandemic forced these two to move their wedding date to July, but instead it’s about love. A love that endures all, and endures it all with grace and joy!
Steph and Chris said I DO last Saturday at Cameron Estate Inn and their day was filled with joy, tears and laughter. Nothing, I mean NOTHING, could make them frown or not enjoy their new wedding day.
Not the suit that Chris dislikes wearing, not the heat, not coronavirus, not a bad diagnosis in the family…
What I witnessed was a day of celebration despite everything that could’ve gone wrong. But in all honesty, what a wonderful day it was!!!
I arrived and met Steph and her friends who were waiting for me with the biggest smiles ever! (cue to Steph’s smile… one of the biggest and warmest I’ve ever seen!). Steph, Chris and their friends were amazing to work with. So joyful and friendly!!!
When it was time to say I do, Steph’s father walked her down the aisle and the entire room was filled with emotion. Mr. Cardillo has been facing a few health issues but he was determined to walk his ‘little girl’ to the altar. What a beautiful moment!!!
During the reception, he gave one of the most touching speeches ever… you could hear a pin drop in the room, as well as all wet eyes, filled with emotion as he spoke.
What a privilege being able to witness a day like that!!!
Steph and Chris, what to say about the two of you? Saying that you are two of the kindest people I had the privilege to meet is not enough. You have something special about you and that was noticed so many times throughout your wedding day!
I wish you both a lifetime of joy and happiness!
