What Septa has to do with love stories? Well, more than you imagine! If you are not from Philadelphia and surroundings, let me briefly tell you that Septa is the train serving the great Philadelphia Region.
Lydia and Mike went both to St. Joseph University and fate had it that they would actually meet while taking the train into Philly to their internships. Who would’ve thought that Septa would not only connect neighborhoods but also hearts?
And those train rides led to one day Mike surprising Lydia with dinner after a long day. She has told him she was busy and wouldn’t have time to go out for dinner with him, but he promptly grabbed some Shake Shack and brought dinner to her!
That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship that turned into engagement when Mike proposed to Lydia during a trip to Tucson, Arizona.

After hiking during sunset, at the peak of the mountain, Mike went down on one knee and asked Lydia to be his wife!!!
Lydia and Mike chose to have their engagement session at the Philadelphia Museum of Art because that place means a lot to them. They used to live in Center City and their apartment building was pretty much across the street from it.
For me, it was such delight to spend the afternoon with these two amazing humans and see them interact and hear their stories from the time they lived in Philadelphia. I absolutely love it when couples choose a location that is meaningful to them… the results can really show in their photos!
And this is exactly what happened! Below you can see the highlights of our time together at the famous steps of the Art Museum and the surrounding areas near the Water Works by Cescaphe. An amazing day with an amazing couple!!!
Can’t wait to photograph their wedding day at the gorgeous Cork Factory this fall!
