They grew up in the same town, about 5 minutes away from each other, but it wasn’t until 10th grade that they met. Kristin and Justin are high school sweethearts and after a little longer then a decade together, they will say “I do” next summer. They are a reminder for me, that love conquers all. Kristin and Justin went to different colleges, lived in separate cities for quite awhile, until they both found jobs in Lancaster, PA and were able to finally be closer together again.
We started planning their engagement session shortly after booking, but the weather in PA was not cooperating. Due to the rain, we had to reschedule their session, only to face one of the strongest heat waves of the season hitting town on the scheduled date. Despite the crazy hot day, Kristin & Justin arrived all dressed up and ready to rock their session!
They chose Downtown Doylestown to have their photos taken, and I couldn’t love it more!!! It’s so great when couples choose a location that means so much to them… We were able to go to their old high school and take a few photos at the place where everything started for them. And as we walked up and down the main downtown street in Doylestown, they told me how many times they were able to go for walks in the city after school. I was melting not only by the scalding sun above our heads, but also by listening to their sweet love story!
We started and finished their engagement session at Fonthill, a castle (yes, you read it correctly, A CASTLE!) located right in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I almost hid one of Kristin’s shoes to make this blog story more like a Cinderella one. They were wearing blue after all, so that could’ve worked… haha. Well, I didn’t make the move, but their beautiful story, photos on a vespa (also known as a scooter) , romantic kisses at the steps of Central Bucks High School West and a scenic sunset at Fonthill Castle are enough to create their own version of Prince and Princess forever after!!!
Kristin and Justin, thank you for the lovely afternoon in your hometown. I enjoyed getting to know you a little better! And if you were that nice while walking outside sweating a lot, you deserve a medal for the coolest couple ever! I can’t wait for your Summer wedding next year at the GoggleWorks Center For Arts.
It was very hard to select a few favorites, but I hope you enjoy these images!
