You may be thinking, “wow, another Longwood Garden‘s engagement session?” Ohhh yeeeees!!! I absolutely love shooting there, especially during the winter months. I don’t mind it a bit when my couples choose these beautiful gardens as the venue for their session! This past weekend I drove all the way to Kennett Square to meet with Trisha and Kris!
Back when Trisha and I were trying to schedule their session she told me that both of them are not much into being in front of the camera and almost didn’t want to have an engagement session. Let me just say that I am SO glad they decided to do it!!! Trisha and Kris seemed to be shy at first, but as soon as I said hello I knew the afternoon would be easy and enjoyable!!! They are so warm and friendly!
They met at work but nothing sparked between them within those office walls. After an entire year of sitting right next to each other at work, they ran into each other at a bar in Philly and then their story began. Kris asked Trisha out and they enjoyed not only one date, but four consecutive dates that week. I guess the city of brotherly love has the power to make people fall in love…
Last August Trisha was in for a surprise. It was just a few days after her birthday and Kris told her to dress up. She immediately thought that he was planning a surprise birthday party for her. Instead, Kris went down on his knee at the Delaware River Trail and surprised Trisha with a diamond ring, asking her to be his wife!!! Well planned, Kris!!!
Trisha and Kris, I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting you and got to know a little bit of your story. I am extremely excited for your wedding day at The Ballroom at Ben next June. Philadelphia will never look better having the two of you walking around as bride and groom before dancing (and eating!) the night away! I can’t wait!!!
Here are a few of my favorite images from your engagement session. Enjoy!
