It’s the very heartbeat of the city where rivers, roads, and railroads once carried captains of industry and the members of American aristocracy.

History and modern life collide with parks, residences, and churches embodying the Philadelphia way of life.

It’s a beautiful love letter to the founding of the country, that somehow feels as though it was left for us to revel in.
A Modern Day Love Story in Old World Philadelphia
There are a number of locations throughout Philadelphia worthy of exploring for engagement photos. Though somehow the juxtaposition of busy city life and romance makes Center City feel like a homecoming.
Working with my couples ahead of their wedding day, I explore the details that drew them together. How they met and fell in love, and how they plan to celebrate when their wedding day arrives. Connecting with them allows me to shape a photography experience that is meaningful to them, with photos that reveal what their love feels like.
Growing up in Delaware, Amanda and Jim met in what they themselves called a whirlwind romance. But it wasn’t until later in life that their paths would cross again. Jim’s job just so happened to be located across the street from Amanda’s apartment, and an accidental run-in turned into a non-accidental date. With a renewed sense of feeling for one another, their seven-year relationship turned into an engagement at a vineyard in Charlottesville and a wedding at Water Works.
But this moment, this quiet time of celebration, just for the two of them, ahead of their wedding, was an intentional afternoon spent in Center City Philadelphia, capturing engagement photos underscoring their story.
